I think something will be necessary for international travel and those that work in Healthcare but I'm not sure of other situations.
What say you?

Overall in most cases? no.
I find both the extreme anti-vaxxers & the ones that want everybody to have the vaccine, no matter what--annoying. I tend to tune both sides out.

Since I'm traveling internationally in less than two weeks, I am really hoping I can get a German lmpfpass when we get there. However if you want to see my vaccine card for me to go grocery shopping, I am resoundingly opposed.

I would like to see passports in order to travel, go to concerts or sporting events etc. Basically anywhere that people would be in tight quarters with other strangers. Maybe it’s just me but I would just feel safer.

I couldn't care less whether people get vaccinated or not, however, for air travel, I think it's a good idea to inist people are jabbed. At least for the time being.
Regardless of we think, it's going to be down to businesses & organisations not the man in the street.
We in the UK, at least England, are supposedly having our 'freedom' back tomorrow, in the sense that most restrictions will be lifted. That means masks off and you can go where you like.
I expect we will still have to wear masks for medical appointments. I'll find out later this week as have one on Thursday. As for shops, I shopped at two different supermarkets in the last few days and asked them about masks. One said they are definitely off, the other said they would follow Gov policy, but would still like to see them on. Clear as mud.
I won't be wearing them, unless it's a medical app.

Here in Canada we're trying hard to get our jab numbers up quickly but we're running into that last 20% who are hesitant or refusing. That Delta variant seems like a real bitch.

The media keep on trying to be negative because our restrictions are being drastically lowered tomorrow. I suspect an increase in infections is due to the testing that was mandated for the large events in the last week or so. The great thing is that hospital admissions & deaths are way down mainly to the vaccine programme. Most people here are not concerned. My wife is a bit because she has a lounge condition. I’m of the view that we have to get out this someday, so tomorrow is as good a day as any Attachments:

I'm a little leery about Europe now. Not that I'm going to get sick, but rather that they will lock everything down again.

As well as struggling with their vaccine programme, they have serious floods in Germany, that have cost around 200 lives so far, France has riots against lockdown and finally, the EU is still trying to find ways to annoy us Brits, when they should be thinking about their own problems

Flooding hit Saxony yesterday, where my MIL is but luckily not lethal like on the Belgian border

Vaccine passports are an unnecessary infringement on civil liberties The case for medical exemptions is compelling, yet neither province appears to have made this accommodation. As a result, the vaccine passports in Canada, as they currently exist, are discriminatory and likely violate Canadians’ charter right not to be discriminated against on the basis of a disability.

this next week I'm traveling south through States that are having high rates of COVID infections. (Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana) I'm bringing my card and I'll be wearing a mask inside any place of business. I was vaccinated, but I'm not taking any chances. I'm bringing the card in case I'm stopped at any State Line and they ask for proof of vaccination.

I was using mine in Tennessee and numerous people did double takes in stores or said "wow, that's a cool credit card"

I live in Toronto so majority of the people around here I’d just as soon not get too close to them contagion or no contagion.
Not taking any chances; there will likely be an increase of the infection rates during the fall and the new variants sound like a real good time. So I don’t want to get taken down with none of that for no reason.
Some of the people I jam with are talking about getting together in a small rehearsal space which means five or six people and some of them spoutin into microphones. I’m gonna hold off on that for awhile.

I feel pretty good about it. I know the bass player has been ultra safe as his wife is terrified of everything. The drummer has also been extra safe as he has COPD and is in remission from lung cancer. He also has a daughter with MD. We are bringing our own mic’s, stands and cables. We are all vaccinated too. So I think we’ll be okay.

The one I’m talking about is a pickup situation where I’ve known a few of them over the years but it’s the first six members to sign up on an email list so could be anyone shows up. Lot of times I see the same people at these but I only know them from the jam circuit it’s not like friends and neighbors.

Well, it looks like we're approaching the point where everybody who is gonna get vaccinated has already or will soon. Then the only thing to do is to open the gates and let the chips fall as they may.
