I miss heading over to Buffalo for shopping and dinner. We also like heading down to the Finger Lakes south of Rochester and spending a few days hitting the wineries and museums. My SIL and her partner go down to Lakeland Florida in the spring for a couple of months. In the past, we’ve joined them for a couple of weeks of relaxing and golfing. We were hoping to go this year but it’s not happening. Hopefully soon..... I can only imagine how many businesses on both sides of the border have been wrecked over the past year. Of course, you guys are way closer to the border than we are and can see the impacts first hand. When we want to go to Canada it is a big deal with the Niagara Falls border crossing 400 miles away and the Plattsburgh crossing (going into QB) around 350 miles away so for us it is a full blown vacation, not just an evening out! Is Plattsburgh that far away from you? The last time we went to Quebec City, we went thru NY and stayed overnight in Plattsburgh. I would have thought that it would only be a 3 or 4 hour drive for you. Niagara Falls businesses and restaurants got hit pretty bad last year. All the attractions and the casinos remained closed. Restaurants were limited seating. The only businesses in Niagara Falls that did well were the golf courses. I played most of my golf last year in Niagara Falls and I had a hard time getting tee times compared to other years. Apparently, the number of rounds played in Niagara last year almost doubled! im hoping that with the vaccine, the border may reopen by the end of the summer.

Yeah, we're 6 hours dead south of Montreal. I think maybe Albany would be about 3 hours from Plattsburgh.
The Canadian side of Niagara Falls must be incredibly depressing to see now. We stayed there a few times when the kids were younger and they absolutely loved the rides, arcades and junk food!

Hmmm, how’s my day going today? I’m hungry! I had breakfast at 6:30am and that’s all I can eat until after my colonoscopy tomorrow. I’m in the process of drinking my gallon of Peglyte...such a vile tasting internal cleanser. My wife was just saying that after all these years, she’s surprised that they haven’t come up with a single pill to clean you out.

The museums (Tussauds, Ripleys etc) were closed. They opened up the rides for a week or two and closed them back up as they had enormous crowds that weren’t social distancing and many not wearing masks. I don’t know what they expected to happen. If the rides are the only thing open, that’s where everyone is going to go!

I read an article in the Canadian press about hopes for JNJ's vac being very high. I echo their hopefulness! I guess I talk to you guys in Canada so often that Google is putting Canadian news in my feed!

Day is going great considering it started with a 10,000 foot long snake with camera attached shoved up my butt! 🤪🤪🤪🤪
Since I’m not supposed to drive for 24 hours, I’m gonna go downstairs and wail on some guitar as my wife and daughter went out shopping and I’m all alone.

At least you had some McDonald's! Day is pretty good here. We did another virtual gig this morning and we're going out this afternoon, but I don't know where

They didn’t find Jimmy Hoffa or anything of real concern. They removed a few polyps and sent them out for biopsy. But depending on the results, I go back in either 3 or 5 yrs.

Just got back from an hour and a half hike and it was brutal. It's been pretty nice lately so I figured the trails would be clear from people hiking- wrong! The trails were literally 4 inches of solid ice packed down and very treacherous. We still did around 3.5 miles or so but it was easier walking in the new snow that had iced over... At the end my legs were exhausted, which is unusual from such a short distance

No, not this time. I actually do go walking or hiking fairly often and I'm actually ramping up my daily exercise routine with more leg weights and sit-ups. It is a lot more strenuous walking in the snow and ice than simply on a clear trail, especially uphill. Oh and my new Redwings are very heavy to hike in. They are probably literally 5 pounds each and still not really well broken in yet

Lazy day overall--needed it--but do want to play some more guitar later--working on a song idea.

Nice outing to the art museum. Not a big place, it took us exactly an hour to get through. I'd been there before a couple times in previous years. Still nice to just walk through the galleries with no place to rush to.

Why? Not enough sleep? I have to say that the propofal stuff they gave me before my procedure yesterday was awesome. One minute I’m talking to everyone, completely lucid and the next thing I know I’m awake 35 minutes later in another room feeling rested. No wonder Michael Jackson liked this stuff. Too bad his doctor didn’t know how to use it!
