A bit of Ventures music from the 60's. Their 1967 Guitar Freakout album was one of my favorites....

Time for some garage band music. This band from Haney, near Vancouver made a splash on the west coast in the late sixties and early 70's. They had a hit called Hard To Cry but covered other music in their concerts.

Friday night, so I dropped by to see if there was a tailgate party going on. No such luck.
Nothin' to do except Listen To The Music....

I was exhausted last night so I was only here off & on. Fell asleep early.
But here's my next contribution: The Rutles

this song has been recorded by many others, but I've liked this one by Mike Nesmith for a long time.

I've always been a Marshall Tucker Band fan, and this song exemplifies everything I like about their music. Played this tune in a couple of bands, and it's fun to play.

This makes me feel like it's 1971 all over again....

1971? Hmm, should I bite or go with something else?
Well, this is from the 70s, and humorous, and has a Beatle & a Rutle in it.
(Well two Rutles in a way--but only one is playing music)

A bit of a Europe reference. And some satire. Courtesy of Neil Innes (A musical genius in my opinion)

Little more early 70's for you. A Toronto/Hamilton-based bar band that wrote a great song called Southbound Train....

Nobody covers a song quite like Joe Cocker-one of the best of taking a song and taking it over. While not as iconic or as good as Aretha Franklin's version--it is still pretty cool & unmistakably Cocker.

I like almost every song the Guess Who's done. This one's a favourite, not just because I like the song, but also think it's neat to see Burton Cummings step out from behind the piano and rock out on his Tele.
