I've always really liked this song. I had just learned it for the last band I was in, thinking it was one I could sing fairly credibly. If I ever do get another band happening, this is one I want to do....

Since I'm reading Jerry Lee Lewis's biography, this seemed like a fitting piece of music for the headspace I'm in. This song, released in 1979 is auto-biographical for Jerry, and he plays it live here in 1981....

I always liked The Doors....At least the hit songs. About a year ago, I was asked to learn one of their songs for an audition we were doing with a keyboard player. It turned out to be really challenging to learn, but ultimately one I really enjoyed playing. Incidentally, on the early albums, keyboardist Ray Manzarek played all the bass parts with his left hand. On the LA Woman album, Jerry Scheff played the bass parts. The Doors were so impressed that they were going to ask Scheff to join the band. Unfortunately, Jim Morrison died before it happened. Anyway, Scheff played some great bass on Love Her Madly.

Now I can watch him doing instrumentals. For me, much better than Jeff Beck

This is cool--a lounge style of one sort--but doing an Ozzy Osbourne song...
i could see doing a cover of this cover.

When I think about 1971, this is the song that comes to mind that song was on a great album. I bought the album before I went in the Army. I bought a second one when I got overseas. so, I could listen to it while I was over there. as I said, it's a great album. here's another song from the album.
