I know people who would support Canadian bands & singers, simply because the were Canadian. I could never do that--it just seems dishonest & encourages the bad acts--but fortunately there are a lot of real good Canadian acts to listen to. I never think of the nationality of a band or person on a record I like, unless of course they are not singing in English. It's just music I like. Even the non English music, I still concentrate more on what I'm hearing. I'm kind of the same in this regard

A lot of people know this song from the original Joan Baez version or the Judas Priest cover--I like this version as well:

I wish he would get rid of that moustache and boots as well

It's different for us, but I think was genuinely happy and so good for him. When he most recently did one shows with a new version of Rainbow he seemed bored. But he did it because people wanted it & they threw a bunch of money at him.

There's some bands that just sound so right and just never seem stale or dated. For me, one of those bands is Poco

Much better than the rock stuff. I just don't like the dressing up. Seems like all of the band do it. Never mind, the music is great.

(And the hat looks kind of goofy when he wears it.)

God that took me back to when I first started playing. First we played Shadows stuff, as we had no singer, then we started doing stuff from this lot and the Ventures.

That's better, for me. I don't know how some people manage to stretch their fingers like he does.
I have a couple of CDs of Les Paul and his wife. He was a great guitarist, well ahead of his time.

Like most people I listen to, I like some songs and not others. Some I tolerate. But just for the record--I did see Weird Al live--and it was a great show.

Les Paul was way ahead of his time--he did a couple of albums with Chet Atkins--and lots of solo stuff, and with various other musicians. Ahead of his time is an understatement. When he was still alive if I had ever been in New York on a Monday night I would have checked ahead of time, and gone to see him at the Irridium.
