An old friend just posted this on Facebook. I know why he posted it, but apart from that, it's not bad.
BTW serious question, why do Americans wear those hats indoors? I can understand wearing them out under the hot sun or even rain, but indoors? Are they just hiding baldness?

I can’t speak for all Americans but I’m pretty sure male pattern baldness has something to do with it.......unless your slash. As soon as the blond started singing I couldn’t get Sondra Locke out of my head for some reason.

I love Jimi Hendrix's original version of this song--but somehow SRV's instrumental version, I like even more.

How about something in Italian? You'll probably recognize the tune.

here's a couple from a Welsh band who had one hit in the 70s. I never got chance to see them as I was in the RAF when they were gigging. I did know some of the members though
First up is their one UK hit.
The second is the lead singer, Morty, singing at a gig with a band of youngsters. Morty sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2015

Well, maybe not pleasure so much--but I can't really say displeasure either--YMMV.
At least it's a PSA on the importance of tuning properly

I never get tired of watching Nancy Wilson do that spectacular acoustic guitar prelude to Crazy On You

And I've heard people say she can't play guitar...
I think this is only one bit of proof she can.

Three version of a song by the same band (In name any way) Still I'm Sad by Rainbow Up first the initial studio recording with the original lineup:
A live version with Ritchie Blackmore left from the original line up & original vocalist Ronnie James Dio:
And a later version of Rainbow (After Blackmore left Depp Purple for the second & final time) With Doogie White on vocals:

There's a few Canadian bands that I have a particular liking for. This guy, Michel Pagliaro, made a splash in the early 70's but never managed to follow up his two hits "What The Hell I Got" and "Lovin' You Ain't Easy". I've always wanted to do this one in a band....

I know people who would support Canadian bands & singers, simply because the were Canadian. I could never do that--it just seems dishonest & encourages the bad acts--but fortunately there are a lot of real good Canadian acts to listen to.

Back, particularly in the 70's, it was a golden time for Canadian bands...Trooper, BTO, Guess Who, April Wine, Loverboy, and the Powder Blues Band.

I never think of the nationality of a band or person on a record I like, unless of course they are not singing in English. It's just music I like. Even the non English music, I still concentrate more on what I'm hearing.

I do agree overall--after the fact I may look at where they're from, and it can be cool if band is from your part of the world. But ultimately--is it good? Does it move you? reach you? or whatever makes sense to you.
