Glad I got my golf game in yesterday. Today we are looking at a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 45...big difference in temperature!
John, our courses were closed up until June at which point they opened with strict COVID rules regarding distancing and touching. Flagsticks were not to be removed, don’t touch other players equipment, golf carts were disinfected after each round and rented out individually at first and then they installed shields between the riders.(I always carried some disinfectant wipes and wiped down the cart myself too!) Many courses stopped taking money and only used credit cards. It was probably the safest sport to play and it became difficult to book a tee time. I was booking up to a week ahead of time, hoping the weather would be nice. Even with the late season opening, the manager at the course that we played at said that by mid September, they had already surpassed the previous years number of bookings and still had more than a month left in the season.

Wow, 45 degrees, that would feel like standing in a sauna to me. You’ve gotta move away from “America’s Siberia” and into a warmer climate...the Great Lakes area is nice, but you’ve gotta stay away from the snow belt areas. I’m 60 miles from Buffalo and those poor people not only have to put up with a bad hockey team but they get hammered with snow every winter. Where I’m located, we may get 1 or 2 major (10 to 12”) snowstorms each winter. Otherwise, we get a few inches every week or so. I’m not a winter lover....gimme snow on Christmas and New Years Eve and then it can go away.

The long dark winters, sub zero temps and loads of snow are just to much. For the most part this is a young persons State. We had a 3 week stretch last winter where we did not rise above 0, the highs during the day were between -6 and -10, and lows at night were -20 or worse. I live close to anchorage and thats pretty chilly for around here, just north in fairbanks they see -30 and 40 regularly. What’s worse is working in that stuff, I don’t hold up to the weather like I used to. For me, retiring somewhere else is a no-brainer.

Apparently there's going to be sunny intervals and light winds today. It feels cold, to me, at 46 but at least there's blue skies out there.

WTF!!! I woke up this morning to lightly falling snow! Two days ago I was golfing with a light wind jacket!!! I checked my weather app this morning and they’re calling for 2-4” (5-10cm) of snow thru the day. Fortunately, living by the lake keeps our area a few degrees warmer so it’ll turn to rain by this afternoon. High today is 35.

11-22-20 woke up to an inch of snow this morning. it was either rain or snow from what the weather lady said last night. at least, it's not more than that. our low was 33*F this morning. it should get to 40*F by this afternoon. so, what snow there is, it won't stay.

Snowing today, warmed up to a balmy 25 degrees. you joke now, but you and I both know that after having been below 0*F for a week or two, 25*F will feel like a heat wave. it happens here in Minnesota every Winter.

Brent, I remember my son saying that about 7 or 8yrs ago as he was going to school in Thunder Bay up on Lake Superior. He came home at Christmas for a couple of weeks and he couldn’t believe how warm it was here...in the 20s. In the meantime, we were freezing our asses off!

Temp has dropped overnight. I know it's not cold by some of your US places, but it's only 37 here at the moment. First morning of winter fog as well.

We are still in a warm spell, temps hovering around freezing during the day, just enough to slush the roads.

Temp dropped drastically overnight. -1 , in our money, when I got up this morning. Think that's around 30F. It's up to 39 at the moment, but feels a lot colder with a light wind. But at least it's sunny

11-26-20 we started with cloudy skies and 33*F this morning. it's now 4:30pm and it's still cloudy and 34*F. earlier this morning the weather people were telling us we would have clearing skies this afternoon and 42*F here in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. seems like they missed the mark.

Rain and drizzle to start the day but it all stopped by 1pm. After that we had a couple of sunny breaks but for the most part, it remained cloudy and got windy. Temp got up to 52F this afternoon which gave me the itch to hit the golf course for a quick 9 holes! Geez if this keeps up, I’ll be golfing right up till Christmas! 😍

To be honest with you, I wear shorts and t-shirts year round in the house. I’m in my shorts right now! I’ve also been seen bringing the trash out to the curb wearing shorts, t-shirt and a pair of running shoes.....in the snow!
