I had the last of the blueberry muffins and several cups of coffee to start my day. I'm thinking I might treat myself to some A&W drive-through at lunchtime after my pedal buyer's left me a handful of money.

My wife and I opened a nice bottle of red wine and set up a little charcuterie board with Irish cheddar and Brie cheeses, kielbasa, sopressata salami, olives, artichoke hearts and an array of different crackers. We had Alexa playing some Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, and Temptation’s tunes in the background. Made for a nice dinner.for two!

I don't want the nest to be empty just yet but it is a real luxury to be alone in my small house with 5 people, including 2 adult kids. Sometimes my wife and I go away for a couple nights just to be alone as d have some peace |

At one point a few years ago, both my son and daughter were out of the house and life was great! We would invite them and their partners for dinner on the weekends and then it would be quiet again all week long. Then she broke up with her boyfriend and moved back in with us and life hasn’t been the same. |

We would invite them and their partners for dinner on the weekends and then it would be quiet again all week long. Then she broke up with her boyfriend and moved back in with us and life hasn’t been the same. Generally the kids aren't too much in the way- but during lockdown it was completely unbearable for the entire family. Now at least they go out and meet up with friends so they aren't here 24x7 |

Leftovers tonight.
Getting some groceries dropped off for this week.
But we have accumulated leftovers to eat before they go bad.
Some roast chicken left, and some ground turkey patties, and rice & stuff.

We were walking on eggshells when she was at home. I think April- May 2020 was the low point for us. Everyone working or going to school remote full time. Nobody was happy See, in Ontario, the Premier locked us down on Dec 23/20 until sometime in March 2021. We could only be with our own household (however, we invited our son to be with us for Christmas and New Year). Most people worked from home and the entire school year was done remotely. |

I grilled 2 beef tenderloin steaks for me and the missus. Served them with corn, sautéed mushrooms and a green salad. Washed it all down with a few glasses of red wine

Chicken thighs in a teriyaki sauce, pasta in an olive oil & parsley sauce & fresh green beans
Best supper I've had in a while.
And some of the others were real good as well.
