Got up late, so I went out and ran errands before I had breakfast. So, breakfast was hotdogs  Happy to say, the grocery store just started bringing the big boxes of cereal again, so I bought some, and I'll be back to my regular breakfast tomorrow. |

Got up late, so I went out and ran errands before I had breakfast. So, breakfast was hotdogs  Happy to say, the grocery store just started bringing the big boxes of cereal again, so I bought some, and I'll be back to my regular breakfast tomorrow. When I went grocery shopping last week, I was looking for cereal and it looked like they never got their shipment of Kelloggs product. Hardly any Kelloggs cereal on the shelves, just a handful of boxes but the shelves were empty. And I couldn’t believe how much the prices had increased! |

I made some chicken soup for my wife and myself and I made some packaged spring rolls that I had bought at Costco last week. Dipped them in a hot and spicy Thai sauce…..really cleared out my wife’s sinuses. She was feeling a bit better after dinner.

Yeah, I think cereal prices are higher across the board. I got lucky on the cereal I buy....They used to be around 10.00 per box, and they're on sale right now at 7.99. I think I'm going go in tomorrow and load up since there's no limits imposed. |

I think I'm going go in tomorrow and load up since there's no limits imposed. Luckily I buy the no Name Lidl brand shredded wheat cereal which is still super cheap (less than $2/ box) . Only edible with fruit! |

Just to expand on the Kelloggs shortage, I just read this morning that it was due to a strike which was recently settled. |

Years ago, when I worked here in town, we used to go to this same place for lunch on Fridays. Back then, they used to use lard to make the home fries and they were sooooooo good and crispy. Unfortunately, they’ve switched over to a healthier way of frying them up and they’re not as good as they used to be. BUT they’re still really good. |

Back then, they used to use lard to make the home fries and they were sooooooo good and crispy. Unfortunately, they’ve switched over to a healthier way of frying them up and they’re not as good as they used to be. BUT they’re still really good. Good grief I can only imagine, but talk about heart attack special! |
