Regulars on my board are a TS9, Rat, and an FDII in the regular loop and a OD3 and BBpre in the Lead loop.
The FDII is used most for my crunch with the BBpre being kicked in for solos.

I have mixed feelings about posting in a thread like this. Almost exactly a year ago I posted a thread on Strat Talk observing that many guitar players seem to slather everything with distortion or overdrive whether it suits the song or not, and that I felt a lot of it was intended to mask inept or sloppy playing. That damn near got me tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail. It was the end of my time on the forum and, frankly, some of the things said make me reluctant to ever go back. They're just idiots. I readily admit that I suck, and that distortion can be used to cover that up. But I am secure in my suckitude so don't need to dispute reasonable claims like that as if they are some sort of challenge to my manhood.

I've always wanted to try the Empress Multi Drive. I incorporates the Distortion with their OD & Fuzz--so could be cool pedal. I actually won mine on GC back when Scott set up giveaways--there were three Empress pedals given away--the Fuzz, the OD & the Distortion. I won the Distortion. Which was cool. hummingway & iarsee won the other two. (I went & looked it up, this was 10 years ago)

Timmy!
Hate the coffee, love the pedal. One of the most transparent od pedals I've used - if you like your amp, you'll probably like it with a Timmy (once you get used to the 'cut' controls).
Honorable mention to the iconic / ubiquitous Tube Screamer.
Playing in cover bands, drive pedals are just part of the game, IMO. I like to be able to ramp up my levels of gain, depending on the song. Usually a two channel amp (clean / dirty) with an od, a distortion and a compressor (plus delay/mod pedals). That gives me 4 - 6 levels of gain/level boost, depending on the pedals, and can take me from chicken pickin' to rockabilly to Sabbath or Metallica.
Kemper have released some new drive pedals which are great. Variety par excellence. More and more, that's what I'm using now. They recently put out some good fuzzes too. I'm not a hardcore fuzzophile, but some who are seem quite happy with Kemper's new soft options. It's sure simple compared to big pedal boards with multiple points of failure (power and audio). Set and strike is like 5 minutes each, one ether-net cable from amp to pedal.

Good morning, welcome again to another meeting of " OD's anonymous " My name's Jonesy, and I'm an overdrive/fuzz addict.
Todays OD of choice is the Xotic Effects BBP Comp Custom Shop. Feeding a MXR Sugar Drive into said beastie. .... bloody magical.
