In antiquing the term is 'distressing'. Something I actually refused to do a few times when requested to do so, as I thought the customer (dealers) were trying to foist off a counterfeit. But I did do so for interior designers a few times or homeowners who wanted reproductions to match an existing setting. So...Catfish is Lefty. Rizla obviously Sid. Everybody else has their known handle? I'm actually Photojazz. I swiped Roberteaux's avatar and name, because I hate that smug, snobbish bastard like you wouldn't believe. He wouldn't even respond while I was trolling the OH/MH thread over at the other site, even though I've seen him really rip into somebody else for far less. That made me realize that he had so little respect for me that he wouldn't even deign to respond when I insulted him directly and by name. And that REALLY irks me! So I'm here to smear what's left of his reputation. You should expect a lot of really stupid, hateful commentary coming from me in the future. My goal is to alienate him from all of his friends. And then, when you guys start really piling onto me here, I will suddenly reveal that I am PHOTOJAZZ... thus making fools of ALL of you! Bwah hahaha hahaaha! --Rob

Photojazz would be the first guy in the history of forum's to have both mods, and the administrator all ban him. Freakin' tutu wearing idjit.

Photojazz would be the first guy in the history of forum's to have both mods, and the administrator all ban him. Freakin' tutu wearing idjit. Yeah... he was definitely problematic... I tended to view him as a walking, talking tar pit. He talked sometimes about being an admin at some other site... and I used to want to say to him, "So why not go over there and hang out? After all, you're such a big shot and all..." But I did realize: whatever forum he's either the admin of, or is modding, is probably about as active and exciting as a ghost town. But IIRC, both Poncho and fett were also booted from various sites before they ended up at MLP, to enjoy equally checkered careers there. Pretty sure that the Poncho got a perma from TDI before he ever showed up to start stepping on people over at MLP. Some guys are just FUBAR, probably from the moment they took their first hit of fresh air. I'm getting to where I try hard not to fire on anybody at all. But every once in a while... I dunno... but it's like my guns just start whispering in my ear... and the next thing you know, I'm drawing a bead on 'em... maybe even calling in artillery. I really *am* trying super hard to just take a walk when I see somebody is about to get on my nerves. I thought I did really great with Photojazz, seeing as I only addressed him directly twice, and was civil towards him as I did so. But man... the sheer temptation was nearly overwhelming. I was just patting myself on the back for having become so wise and tolerant when this other dork decided to crash a thread with his proclamations of Higher Morality Than You and all the usual preachy nonsense... and so I fired him up pretty good. He hasn't even come back to the site after being banned for flipping out on the mods. I keep seeing these people who figure they've got some screed to lay on others, whereupon they climb atop a pedestal of their own making, expecting to somehow lead and guide us into their version of enlightenment. I'm very amused to see how few of them seem to realize that this sort of thing draws a lot of snipers. Being on a cross is one of those things that looks cool... until you get to remembering that some guys use real nails to keep you up there. You're lucky if somebody like comes along to stick you with a spear. But most of those guys really just use a stepladder to get up there, and some rope to keep 'em aloft... and then they wonder why nobody worships them for going there to begin with. --Rob

I'm just opinionated and am tall enough that I don't need a pedestal but then again I'm not in a popularity contest. Never really desired to be popular... I think I've been successful in that endeavor... LOL However, there are some 'over there'..... ![](http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/r775/ehbpics/funny-gifs-wake-up-lemming-sheeple_zpsbd87ecba.gif)

I've played elevens since 1991 or so. Never once has anyone who's played any guit of mine complained about the string size, and I've had a few guys say that this or that guitar of mine was the best-playing [fill in the blank] he'd ever played.
To me, the moral of the story is: a properly-set-up guitar plays well no matter your string gauge.

We definitely need the story behind that amplifier. What a beaut. Thanks! Very simple story: I built it. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) It's a 5f2-a tweed Princeton, with a choke and a larger OT, built into an oversized cab with a pair of WGS 10" Veterans. It sounds huge in small-medium size rooms and keeps up with a sensible drummer in a bluesrock setting, if you don't play clean. Straight in, it's a dream. Great tweed cleans and dirt. Throw a treble booster in front and it's early Aerosmith and grinding vintage Marshalls minus about 95 watts. I'm building my kid one right now. He's actually doing as much as I can have him do. ![](http://i1370.photobucket.com/albums/ag251/eriknappier1/C91833AE-3A6D-44C1-A46B-30D12A1316B3_zpsaskmp2cn.jpg)

I am thinking that I want another LP. I was off of them for a while but can see their appeal again.
And since I need a thicker neck a Trad offers me the best option without going to a Historic (the various '60s necks are too thin). Unfortunately, the fuckwit who runs Gibson decided to stop producing Gold Top and Ebony Trads (my two favourite coluors) a couple of years ago so I will have to search out a used one. My buddy the sales guy knows that I am interested in a Gold Top so is keeping his eyes open but I'll let him know today to be on the lookout for an Ebony one too. A Gold Top is the ultimate LP for me but having an Ebony one would keep me happy for a while and I could search out a Gold Top later on.

I love the fat neck on my LP. It took awhile to get used to it, but it's super comfortable.
Spent last night working on Iron Maiden songs. My wife assumes I have lost my mind.
