I Wish You Would is a song recorded by a Chicago musician, Billy Boy Arnold in 1955. He is credited with it, although it supposedly was developed from a song he wrote with Bo Diddly.
This is his version of the song
The Yardbirds recorded it in 1964 on the album 'For Your Love. Here's a live version with Eric Clapton in the band. It starts around the 3:00 mark
This is our version recorded live back in 2016. As you can hear, we play it a lot faster. We included the song as the first track on our album 'Born at the Bosco'. The current Yardbirds somehow got to hear it and I received a Facebook message from Jim McCarty saying he loved it. One of their previous guitarists, Ben King lives in my town, so perhaps someone told him.
