I’ll have to admit, I drink a lot of coffee. It’s so much a part of my morning routine I can’t imagine not having any. I start an average day with a pretty long commute so I’m filling the tank the whole way in. I’m not an all day coffee drinker but tend to drink more when I’m in the office.

if I drink any, it's usually only in the morning. I can go days without drinking any coffee. at Home Depot, when I opened the store at 5:00am, I'd try to get at least one pot started. however, since COVID happened, the store no longer makes coffee for anyone - customers or employees. you can bring your own, but I don't have time for that.

Funny thing is that although I do drink tea every day I don't feel addicted. When I can't have tea it isn't like I am jonesing for it

I love barley, even as a side! So am I the only one amused by buying a package of barley and reading "Pearl Barley"-and then thinking of this woman: That is funny!

I had meatballs and gravy over baked potato patties, and a Timmy's doughnut.

WE had a lazy chicken fingers & fries supper--nobody felt like making anything that took much effort.

Just figuring out what to have for supper--it's not supper time yet--but sometimes you need some planning & preparation.

I'm more of a Tea and Scones type person. I occasionally drink 'real' coffee, but mostly have the instant kind as the 'real' one takes so long to make in the percolator, or whatever you call it. I have no idea what 'cupcakes' are, but assume they are some sort of cake. The clue being in the name With tea, I tend to have biscuits, usually ginger ones I can dunk in.

I like muffins occasionally but my favourite is apple turnovers. I could have them for breakfast every day and never get tired of them.

Although I really don't like chocolate in my breakfast. My wife sometimes makes muffins with chocolate chips and I wish she would leave the chocolate out

scones = The answer generally boils down to one ingredient: eggs. Scones have them, biscuits don't. ... Both scones and biscuits are usually made with some combination of flour, baking powder or baking soda (or a combination of both), salt, sugar, milk or buttermilk, eggs (if you're making scones) and a fat (butter, Crisco, lard).
my dad's mother used to make biscuits(American) as big as your fist. mmm they were so good.
cupcakes = A cupcake is a small cake designed to serve one person, which may be baked in a small thin paper or aluminum cup. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations such as fruit and candy may be applied.

Ken mentioned apple turnovers. That reminded me of apple pie. I am a HUGE apple pie fan. I'm okay with peach, cherry or blueberry pie but Apple is my absolute favourite

Cupcakes are basically little cakes. Baked in "cups" not cake pans.

I used to eat bagels a lot--I still do, just not as often. When going for "coffee" (& by that I mean the others have coffee, but I have tea) and donuts--I usually get a bagel.
Although when I was 13/14 I used to walk by a grocery store on my way to school--on the days they did baking I would often go there at lunch and buy an eclair.
I did have muffin today on one of my breaks.

I think the biscuits John is referring to are called Ginger Snaps in the US- which are fabulous
