Since I brought this home mid-January it's been my favorite guitar. The only electric playing I've done has been when I've plugged into a Vox headphone amp to keep the noise down.

I've always liked the look of those! This D-15M sounds even better than it looks, very warm and balanced when played with a light to moderate touch. The sustain is remarkable for an acoustic. The neck feels "just right," the factory set-up suits me well enough that I'm not going to mess with it, and the pleked fretwork is immaculate. And to top it off I got a "thank you for your purchase" letter in the mail from Chris the IVth himself....Form letter, but still a classy touch. All in all I see myself purchasing a D-17M in the not so distant future so I can have the spruce top sound back in my arsenal, since I think my Yamaha FG's residence with my daughter might become permanent.

Rob has one of those and has said a few times that he wishes he had gotten another model (or something along those lines). I have told him that I would happily take it off of his hands.

Women have long memories, I'd make it a point of gifting your daughter that Yamaha FG, who knows, in your twilight years that gifted FG could mean the difference between the cheapest nastiest care home that she can find, and home care. Then there is the benefit of buying yourself a new guitar, it's a win win situation for everybody.
