I received great honor here in Finland, so I thought I had to reward myself. I thought, that I have way too many guitars, but in the end I thought that I don't have a guitar with a scalloped fingerboard. The alternatives were either Malmsteen or Blackmore. I chose Blackmore, because the scallop is not that deep from the headstock and I have never seen or played scalloped guitar. The guitar just came out the door, so I haven't had much time to play. But the first thing I noticed was, that the neck is really thin and the vintage style frets are narrowed. It takes a little time to get used to it... just like the scalloping. I like my guitars to have different pickups. But I've also found myself liking Seymour Duncan pickups and these did not disappoint. This is a keeper. And then, the mandatory pictures...

That is a beautiful strat...
Congratulations regarding the honor you received.
Great idea to commemorate with a strat!

That is a beautiful strat... Congratulations regarding the honor you received. Great idea to commemorate with a strat! Thanks, guitar came last night so late that I couldn't dare to test it a lot. But today I have time. It's really interesting guitar to play, because of the specs. Really different than my other guitars (I have now 13, if I count this new guitar)

Damn, that’s nice. Never seen a scalloped neck either, have fun with it. Congrats.
