I had owned and let go of a vintage Fender Blonde Super Reverb, and I had and let go of a 1958 Fender Tweed Deluxe. WHAT!!!!! Man, must have been tough letting go of that. The 1958 Tweed Deluxe I traded straight across for a Trace Elliot Bonneville 4X10 which is way more versatile than the Tweed Deluxe and much more practical if I decided to ever gig with it. Letting go of the Fender Blonde Super Reverb was just a dumb@$$ stupid youthful mistake.

I guess this is kind of a zombie thread, but sellers regret is kind of a timeless concept when it comes to music gear. Two I kick my ass over are my 66 Princeton Reverb that I let go of for enough to buy a gram back in the bad old days when I was still using street drugs. I'd love to have it back. The other one wasn't actually mine....I was renting it from a dealer called McMusic near Victoria (that eventually became Long&McQuade), and it was a Lab Series L-5. A wonderful amp, and I'd been renting it long enough that I could have bought it for next to nothing. Only other one that I should have kept was a home-brew Pro-Reverb clone that a kid in middle school built for me for 40.00. It was actually a really decent amp, but I thought at the time selling it made sense because I got 100.00 for it with the 2x12 Jensen cabinet I'd built.

I should add that the risk that I will regret another amp sale is rising. Due to space and other concerns I've resolved to jettison 3 amps since I am getting the henricksen. But I have to clear stuff out...
The candidates to go are: 1-1963 Ampeg Reverberocket- definitely going 2- Markbass 112- not sure, there is nothing wrong with it 3- Peavey Classic 30- not sure since you can't get American made ones anymore... 4-1958 Ampeg New Yorker. Very high end amp in its day but the circuit is very complicated so it is not super reliable. It weighs a ton and i could never gig with it. 5- I have 2x Ampeg Jets from 1958 and 1962- both are top condition

When I joined the Royal Air Force in 1971, I sold my Marshall 100w amp & 8x10 cabinet. Really regretted that as it was a fantastic combination with my then Guild Slim Jim. You can see them, just about here.

This morning, I was thinking back to gear that's gone through my hands over the years. One of the amps I liked enough that I'd have trouble walking away from if I saw one for sale was my Gretsch 6169 Fury. It had a lot in common with the Fender Twin Reverbs that I was so fond of. Great 2 x 70 tube amps, absolutely lush reverb, and two 12" speakers. Not many of them around though....I've never seen one since I owned mine in 1970.

Cool amp- I've never seen one before Back in 1970, Gretsch's amplifiers were built under contract by Valco.
