thank you, gentlemen, that's very cool! and yes, we ARE all weirdos.
i have been steady practicin' my rendition of the star spangled banner for several days. with the extra 1x12 cab, and 40 watts, i KNOW they're gonna hear me in the next neighborhood when i dime this boogie out on my back deck later. i still have to decide which guitar i'm using. the les paul sounds great, and my hands know it so well after all these years. but the ibanez also sounds fantastic, has some switching options, and the taller frets are kinda nice. the dangelico is a semi hollow, with a ridiculously hot bridge pick up, it's does feedback like godzilla. it can be tricky to wrangle at times, but that option has it's attraction too.

I`ve heard that one must drop LSD to play The Star Spangled Banner on their back deck on the 4th...lol. Just say no...

Just say no... what is left of my mind is propped up with old 2x4s and crumbling bricks. i don't shake the foundation no more

well then, Jimi's version it is. it was similar, but not as extravagant. i did use my rotovibe and at the end, i made spaceship noises with my delay. i eneded up going with the les paul, because it's the only american made guitar i have right now. the evh frankenstein in the bridge was totally up for the task
