The man, the myth, the enigma, the legend ---- dead at 77 years of age.
Never played through one, possible never even been in the same room with one of the 200+ amps he built, but he will live on in amp history. Such a great list of artists from SRV to Ford to Santana and on and on.

Never played or heard one live. The many times I’ve seen Santana, he’s always played through Mesa Boogies. I’m really wondering if his legendary amps are only a myth as anyone can copy the circuit and buy the same parts. However, that’s neither here nor there.

No idea if I've heard one live as I didn't play guitar when I saw Stevie Ray Vaughan so wasn't paying attention to his gear.
I've never understood the hype and I don't like the tones from the ones I have heard.
