Not surprising. I like beets, but I seem to be the only person at home who does--and we have them I eat some & then seem to forget we have them. I prefer them pickled, but just steamed or cooked is good too. Have you ever had them on pasta? that is a treat. I may have some with leftover pulled pork.

Not surprising. I like beets, but I seem to be the only person at home who does--and we have them I eat some & then seem to forget we have them. I prefer them pickled, but just steamed or cooked is good too. Have you ever had them on pasta? that is a treat. I may have some with leftover pulled pork. I'm a big fan of pickled beets too. My wife does them up really nice. I buy jars of them at the Polish store for salads as well as some mashed beets mixed with horseradish, which is very popular with just about everyone in the family

They are cheap enough at the Polish store that it probably isn't worth the effort, although the homemade ones are always better

the homemade ones are certainly better. Some of the store bought ones use spices I don't quite like.
