Interesting, but he's well short of what Carol Kaye has achieved. She played on well over 10,000 recordings, many of which she used a precision.
Saw a great BBC documentary about her a few years ago. Can't find it, but this clip gives an insight into her. If you have never heard of her, check her out

I've seen in more than one interview where Carol Kaye would just get a new bass instead of changing the strings. So she used a lot of bases, whereas Leland Sklarr used that one bass on 85% of his vast recording work. So both have accomplished a lot...

I was referring more to the player than the instrument, however I’m sure she said she used the same precision in most of the early recordings. still I agree, both did a lot
