That stop/start feature sure flies in the face of the old diesel belief that it was better to idle your vehicle for 15 minutes than turn it off and on again 15 minutes later. They believed that stopping and starting it burned more fuel, which I think Mercedes disproved a decade or two ago. It must suck juice to start everytime too. And all the electrics in your vehicle must dim a bit every time it starts again I assume. Does the radio and navi reboot? All of that puts an additional draw on the charging system - which requires more engine power to replenish. Especially cold starts on a February morning. They must be on a different fuse because that didn't happen to me. It think it is a terrible feature and if it came in a car I bought I would have it deactivated

Yeah, people on the 401 at 120 kph texting while trying to use the touch screen in their cars - what could possibly go wrong .. lol When I used to go to work I remember passing a woman numerous times driving her car on the QEW Toronto bound doing 120kph putting on her make up with one hand while holding her compact and steering the car with the edge of her palm of the other hand. I made sure to get away from her whenever I saw her on the road.

I saw some woman driving on a downtown toronto main street in fast moving traffic actually come to a stop in the middle of it all because she so engrossed in a cell phone conversation waving her arms around the whole bit. Hard to have sympathy for people like that when they get darwined by a gravel truck.

I have a 2013 tundra. Everyone up here has a 4x4. My truck only has 40,000 miles and the best part, it’s paid off. I think I’ll keep it.

I was just reading in the German press today that VW's big all electric push may be backfiring. The Golf has been unseated as the number 1 selling car by the Rumanian Dacia.
All kidding aside I'm now seriously debating saving up my money for the next 2 years to buy a once in a lifetime car, (well, for me) while I can still get one. I always a 911 and I'm afraid in several years I'll be not be able to get one in a manual transmission or with petrol motor.

I've sometimes idly thought about what I'd like to have if I suddenly had spare dough for a toy car that was just for fun and didn't have to be a regular driver. I've always had a yen for a Suzuki X-90...It's a 4 x 4 two-seater with either T-Tops or a Targa top. They're fairly rare...Suzuki only built them in 1996, and they didn't sell a lot of them.

I wonder how many of those are still on the road if they were only made for a short time

I've only ever seen one in person...One I detailed about seven years ago. My search this morning showed four for sale in Canada at the moment - More than I expected because there weren't a lot imported into North America when they were new. I think that's part of the appeal for me....There's about a zillion Mazda Miatas around, but if a guy drives an X90, it'll be almost one-of-a-kind.

When these were first shown I thought they were ugly as sin. Now, after having looked at them for a few years. Nope - still ugly as sin

Wait until I weld a ladder rack to it and give it an 8” lift. I just like the idea of cheap travel costs, I spend about 3-450 a week on fuel for 2 trucks. If I get this I just have a diesel and an electric, both better alternatives than gasoline at this point
