So answer the poll & discuss on Infant's thread link
How much do you normally spend on a strap? Just wondering. You can pick up to three answers--because you might need to

The Fender Diamond Anniversary strap cost me about 75.00 plus shipping on eBay, which was the best deal I could find online for it at the time. I didn't mind spending what I thought of as too much money because it was going to be basically my one and only and used with my best partscasters.

It evens out. 10 $75 straps for 10 guitars? I could buy another guitar

I normally buy Planet Waves locking straps which are around £20 (28$). They're great for me as you don't need to change the strap buttons. However having said that, I can't resist nice leather straps so have bought the odd one at guitar shows. They usually cost around £100 (140$). An American friend of mine sent me a couple of lovely straps with the Hamer Cruise bass he gave me for my 60th birthday. I forget the make and there's no name on the strap, but would guess they were probably similar price to ones I buy. Attachments:

It is a difficult question because I have many straps, all of which cost different amount. I put $36-50 because the Italia straps cost that much when they are on sale and they are the most recently purchased straps I have

I have one beautiful Levy’s garment leather strap for my ES137 that cost me about $110 CAD (~$85 US). My Perri’s straps were about $35-40 CAD and my other Levy’s ones were between $50-70 CAD. I ordered my Martin strap directly from Martin and that cost me $60 US including shipping..

I almost pulled the trigger on a 2 for 1 sale a few years ago but at the time our dollar was really starting to tank and the shipping and duties just made them too expensive in relation to what I could pick up at Long and McQuade. In fact, that’s when I found the Perri’s straps.

There is no way you could ever break one of these straps but they can be difficult to get on and off because they are that meaty

The end pin jack isn’t too deep and I’ve kinda “smushed” the keyhole in the strap so much that I can’t trust it anymore so I keep a right angle 1/4” male jack in the case and use that as a lock to hold it on. It works!
