What do you use? Cloth, Neoprene or leather? Specific manufacturer? Padded? Narrow or wide? One strap for all or a strap for each guitar? Me?... I prefer leather although I have one neoprene strap that I’ve been using on my heavy Telecaster. All of my straps are Levy’s with soft garment leather although I’ve purchased a few Perri’s leather straps recently that I use on my acoustic guitars. The Perri’s straps are a thick but soft suede and very well made. All my straps are about 3” wide and all have some sort of padding (except for the Perri’s straps). I also have a 4.5” padded leather strap that I had bought for my Tele but I found that it was too wide and would dig into my neck so it was replaced with the aforementioned neoprene Comfort Strapp. Each guitar has its own strap that are stored in their cases and all are black. So what do you guys use? I use to be "hell no I'm not paying more than 20.00 for strap". So I had inexpensive polyester straps or cloth one (which was actually pretty damn good). Then Italia Leather Straps when they first started selling them over at MLP. It was buy 1 get 1 for 58.00 (extra long) so I took the chance and was pleasantly surprise how well they were. I ended up getting a total of 12 of them over the years. Mind you not at 2 for 58, but the majority of them were. So all my guitars have their own strap. I have a "Texas" theme Pine Tele and that strap is poly, but with longhorns skull and Texas flag.

I still have trouble paying for those (Canadian $) The emails & offers I see online aren’t that big a savings in Canadian prices Especially when I have straps I like for less But nothing against people buying more expensive straps Actually it’s been a few years since I needed a new one

I almost bought some Italia straps a few years ago but once I figured out exchange and customs/duties, I realized that I can get get similar straps here at L&M for the same amount or less.

They certainly look nice & I wouldn’t mind trying one
I just wonder about the thickness (not width) & how thick straps tend to dig into my neck and/or shoulder

They are basically like having 2 Levy's sewn together. Thick enough where they don't fit on all strap buttons.

Like I stated, most of my straps are Levys put I’m really liking these Perri’s suede straps....very soft and pliable.

Especially when they are buy one get one, but you're still going be paying around 55.00 for one (here in the states). I'm also going guess that their prices are going to go up just like everything us that is creeping up.

(The straps that is) I do have a couple of suede straps as well--and I like them--very flexible & pliable.

They do have giveaways--if I win one I would try it--and who knows, maybe it would entice me to buy another--but not if I have to fight with it to get it on or off the guitar. Or if it irritates my neck.
If that happened and I won one--I would likely give it away.

I have straps for every electric guitar. And a couple extra straps around if I ever need one for acoustic.
My first straps were cheapos, sometimes what came with the guitar. I still have an old Fender strap with the metal adjustment ring for my early 70s Strat. It's frayed but that just adds to the charm.
A friend gave me a strap because I expressed interest in it. It was a simple beige leather that someone had hand-tooled the pic of a hoola girl just above the neck hanging point, where it is clearly visible. That's the strap for my orange Gretsch going back to a rockabilly band I was in.
The others I've accumulated over time. Most of them are Levi, but a couple of others aren't. I've bought in various patterns and colors, especially when I found a good deal.
For a retirement present to myself, I bought a Well-Hung strap (padded with a neat python print). It was 3X the price of any strap I bought before. It is a wonderful strap, very well made and very comfortable. But I'm glad I only needed one. LOL

I have couple of black leather Levi straps that I use because they roll up in the case real good so easy to deal with. I have this one that I like but don't use a lot because the hardware bangs on the guitars and the strap is too cumbersome to go in a case easily. Plan was to change my name to Credit Card Slim and start playing in front of liquor stores throughout South Ontario figured I'd need a fancy strap like this because I play "progressive" redneck music; none of that stuff about uncle Slayton livin out in the thickets with his mail order bride cookin up the meth because the shine don't sell like it used to etc... lol. But then the Lucky19 hit so had to cancel that tour.
