I met him and his then partner/manager on a guitar weekend in the 90s. We went out for a meal on the Saturday night. He's a really nice bloke and a fabulous guitarist. I was chatting to him after a workshop and he asked me if I wanted a go at his expensive guitar (pre PRS). I politely declined

Weird- I couldn't get to the video I couldn't either. Just put the title 'Introduction to DADGAD, from Celtic Guitar with Tony McManus' into YouTube and it should work. It says video playback on sites other than Youtube has been disabled by the person who loaded it

I had a link show up to watch it on YouTube I like his playing I never quite got the hang of DADGAD, but this video makes sense & I may just try it again
Tony McManus does a version of Goodbye Porkpie Hat in DADGAD, after saying you can’t play jazz in DADGAD (quoting John Renbourn) I will have to see if I can find a video of it

That's the song, but the version I was referring to has a spoken into about DADGAD It's this version But either way you get to listen to the song--which is a fantastic version of it.
