I have had basses in the past, but always got rid of them because I really didn't play them. Over the past year I've been kicking around getting another. I was cruising Sweatwater at the "cheap" basses. I come across a Squier Affinity P Bass for 125.00 and the description says there is a significant chip and that it's being sold as used. I inquire about it and my Sales Engineer said it was damaged in shipping and I get a 90 day warranty. So I pulled the trigger and hopefully it will be here tomorrow.
I was actually going to pull the trigger on an no name brand over on Amazon for about the same price, but glad I went to check out Sweetwater.
The chip doesn't bother me because I will either leave it or get a wild hair up the ass and refinish it knowing me.

Congrats in advance.
Don't tell people it was damaged goods, say it was reliced and the value goes up by 50%

Bass looks great. I wouldn't worry about any chips.

Side note: Not sure my plural spelling of basses is correct.. never cross that bridge before

I don't judge a guitar on the cost, but how well it plays. I have a Squier Affinity Telecaster Butterscotch that I refinished (which I shouldn't have) to metallic red. I also made it a not very straight string through, made my own pickups, and purchase new electrical items. It's one of my favorite guitars and if I was a touring musician this would be a guitar I would use every night. I'm hoping for the same thing on this one.

I'm sure it will give you many years of enjoyment. Put your own brand of strings on, set that baby up and you are ready to rock. You are getting the thing ridiculously cheaply...

Received it Friday haven't had really much time to mess with it. I had it let it sit for 24 hours to acclimate to indoors. I have a few trees fall over in my yard and had to take care of those. So I plucked the strings last night..

Even if I paid full retail price and it would be worth it.
