Maybe you could find one locally on Craigslist. $600-$700 is a darn lot. Even $300 seems like a lot And thus not owning one. Yep, too rich for my blood too

If you look at completed sales of Conn Strobotuner ST-11's on eBay, you'll notice that some went for all the money, but there are a few guys that won by picking one up for 200 - 300 USD. I still feel good about getting the StroboFlip, which I paid 289.00 plus tax for at Long and McQuade. It's a bit more feature-laden with a lot of the sweetened and alternate tunings that the ST-11 lacked.
There was a point about a year ago when I accidentally pulled the tuner off the top of my amp not realizing the cord was still plugged in. I sent it to Peterson and had it repaired at the factory. I worried a lot because it was misdirected to the wrong address at Peterson and for a while I was afraid I was going to have to claim insurance replacement on it. It was insured for 300.00, but by last year, the StroboFlip was discontinued and what's now their top of the line consumer tuner lacks a lot of the features and is only about 200.00. Probably still an excellent tuner, but I really wanted what I originally bought. It still seems like the Cadillac in non-professional models. To me, definitely worth the 180.00 I spent to repair it
Peterson does have some neat stuff now though....There's a tap tempo module that can interface with the upper-line tuner that's really interesting.

I haven't looked at their lineup for quite some time, but I'm sure the new stuff is impressive. They were always very premium
