This is an old guitar that has 10 strings & tied on frets. Not mine, nor my picture.

Those stamped F tuners were the worst tuners I’ve ever had on my guitars. They came on my ‘75 Tele and the updated Schaller version came on my 2009 ‘72 Thinline RI. In both cases they felt terrible as some were stiff, others turned freely while others turned freely to a point and then would stiffen. There was no direct replacement for them until Kluson came out with their Revolution series a few years ago. I replaced them on both guitars and haven’t looked back (note: the original CBS tuner holes had to be opened up to accept them.) www.kluson.com/kluson-6-in-line-revolution-series-f-mount-tuning-machines-with-staggered-posts-details.htmlI was just reading the Fender Electric Guitar Book by Ton Bacon--and he mentioned that Fender switched where they got the machine heads in the late 70s--btu the look the same. So it is possible we have tried tuners on opposite sides of that change--you got the earlier ones & I tried the later ones Maybe, maybe not.

The head stock of the Blues Box Guitar. Note the odd location of one of the machine heads. But it works.

Maybe you got lucky and got a good set!

Another 12 string Holy cow! That thing is so long, it’s like having another fretboard on the other side of the nut.

Interesting use of P-Bass style pickups.
(And look how much closer the tuner buttons are than on the Yamaha)

if there was a hand stock thread I'd put this there, but there isn't--so I'm putting it here.

Not a regular production model or sanctioned by Gibson or Fender (Just for fun--but it wasn't made by me)

I had some similar headstocks I was planning on sharing later. But cool to see them here. Thanks for sharing the ones you have shared. Keep them coming!
