for many years, I've enjoyed the song, "I'm So Glad" as done by Cream/Eric Clapton on their album Fresh Cream.
however, I came across the information that it was written by the old blues player Skip James. another tidbit is the fact that he used open D minor tuning.
the song "I'm So Glad" is very easy to play when your guitar is tuned to open D minor. of course, I doubt if Clapton used open D minor tuning back in the late 60s when he /Cream recorded the song for the Fresh Cream album. but open D minor tuning makes it easy to play "I'm So Glad".

I had no idea this song wasn't written by cream!

I have Skip james' version somewhere. Fun fact (perhaps--although not at the time) I once was in an automobile accident while listening to the Skip James version I was not distracted by it--and I was not so glad.

I had no idea this song wasn't written by cream! there's also another song on that album, "From 4 Until Late" that was written by Robert Johnson.
