It's handy when they do. Makes for being able to work on sounds & use effects when others are sleeping in the house.

Now I just have to find a 1/4 inch adapter for the headphones I have amps that take the smaller plugs & others that need larger ones--but my headphones came with an adapter to handle both.

I'm sure I have some lying around- or at least my son does. He seems to have all that stuff in his room

One of the things I got turned on to years ago was Weber's Headphone Tap. It's designed to be plugged between an amp output and a speaker input. Simple with any head and cabinet combination and probably doable with a lot of combos. It lets you plug in headphones with a standard 1/4" stereo plug, switch off the speaker with an enclosed dummy load, and control headphone volume independently. There's also a direct output 1/4" jack with an independent volume control that you can feed to a board or PA. I've used one successfully with my Twin Reverb, and it has a distinct advantage over a lot of headphone jacks that take a signal off the preamp section...This is actually sampling a signal from the power section of your amplifier so it retains all the character of the amp, as if you were playing it through speakers. tedweber.com/ha-50/

Well the head amp shipped today so I would imagine I would have it in the next week or so...

Head amp arrived today and I literally just unboxed it. Haven't plugged it in yet but here is a picture in it's little gig bag

I put quite a bit of time into playing through this amp this weekend and I'm very happy with what I hear. The amp is extremely clean (which is good for me) without sounding too dry and sterile. I haven't put a mic through it yet but I can't imagine that there is any reason why it wouldn't work well with that as well.

Today I called Henricksen to see what's up with the cab since it still hasn't shown up. Still backorder but the guy said they should be in next week. I hope it comes soon so the rig will finally be complete...

FINALLY the cab for my new Henricksen amp arrived today after a backorder of almost 5 months. So for the first time I was able to play the head with its proper cabinet. One observation, for a 12" cab this thing is very small, which is a good thing. Very dark and big sound Attachments:

25 pounds- significantly less than anything else I have gigged with. They make a smaller 10" extension cab that is even lighter, but I wasn't ready to move away from 12" speakers just yet because I want big low end.
I just noticed there is a switch on the cab- I assume that is a tweeter defeat. I need to play around with that later

Not a bad weight
I find it amazing the difference in price between a cab with an 8” speaker & anything bigger

I'm curious about you mentioning there being a switch for a tweeter defeat. Does that cabinet normally work as a two-way system? Kinda goes back to something I was talking about a while ago, using high frequency drivers in guitar cabinets.

Kinda goes back to something I was talking about a while ago, using high frequency drivers in guitar cabinets. It is definitely 2 way. The older models did not have the tweeter. They added the tweeter which raised the price. I debated getting the older model; I've seen the older model online cheaper, but ultimately I figured that I'd spring for the tweeter and if I didn't like it I could use the defeat. Truth it, the way I play the tweeter doesn't actually make that much difference unless I crank the guitar's tone and play up high, which I never do.
