Edit:(apparently you can't take small quotes) Spellcaster said he liked basically going straight to amp... Blasphemy! And in the pedal section too! Welcome to the first GT "PEDALAHOLICS" meeting. Hi, my names bzrkrage, and I am a pedalaholic. Todays rendition of a pedalboard will incorporate a new MXR Sugar Drive. I went to Value Village, saw a newish Gibraltar drum throne for $6.99. Took it to local L&M, got $79.20 in trade. So, new pedal! Yes, it's "another Klon" style pedal, to go with the other 8+ Klonlikes. We will see what all the fuss is about. I never find any cool stuff at Value Village or any thrift stores when I stop by Are they looking for you & then put the stuff out thinking you'll buy it (& thinking--what a sucker!)--meanwhile you're excited. You just have to find your “niché”. I look at 70’s kids toys, records & t-shirts. Bargains are far & few between. But, occasional jems.

So, this is the “local jam” board with the new Sugar Drive. All powered by the CS-7, stereo rig. I don’t use modulation much, so the cheap “mod station” does quite well for jams.

And I always look for music related items. Was at two yesterday--nothing interesting, and nothing music related--except for some old records I had no interest in.

Is that a ‘59 Bassman pedal or a Deluxe Reverb pedal? I’m really impressed by my $50 Joyo American Sound pedal. It’s perfect for adding some hair to a clean amp or making your amp sound like an overdriven tweed Deluxe. I’m thinking of removing my Boss SD-1 and putting my TS808 clone back on. The SD-1 just sounds a bit too muddy. I just picked up a Joyo and I am digging it for a clean preamp in a direct board I have built up for recording and hopefully playing with others soon. It's a bit sloppy , I have a cable kit and Velcro once I get it laid out.

Something else to keep in mind is to put the Joyo AS at the end of the chain as I can be used as a preamp if you ever have to go direct into a mixer or PA. I don’t like bringing my amp to rehearsals as I have enough stuff to carry so I used to use a multi-effects pedal and go direct into the PA. Now I can use my actual pedalboard and get a little breakup in my sound.

I am using my Joyo, OCD and radial British as preamps. Last night I dialled in a great clean sound with the Joyo and an incredible break up sound with the OCD!
