Even though we have our differences and knock down dragouts we are still together. Heartening to read.

Good times. Morning of January 8, 2016. I arrived in Saskatoon on the night of the 31st. Spent the first few days fixing up the girlfriend's apartment. Changing light bulbs, fixing drawers, that sort of thing. And eating. A lot. She bakes. I digress. On my off time, I posted a couple ads on Kijiji. One, a request to hook up with the local Blues crowd, another to advertise my services as a teacher. On the 6th, got a message from a local bassist who is part of a rhythm section. Currently arranging our first rehearsal. He's got a PA, and knows the local market. Apparently, there are gigs available Tuesday through Saturday here. Clubs are paying $1K in some of the nearby villages. Yesterday, got a message from some folk singer who wants to learn Blues. Potential student. Meeting with her this weekend at one or the other of the local open jams I'll be attending. Not bad for my first week in Canada.
