wow ! that's a blast from the past ! I haven't seen Black Diamond Strings for many years.
Jeez now I want to try a set just to see how bad they are! when I started playing in 1966, they were about the only guitar strings around. and you could buy them anywhere.

I’m sure they are decent strings if they are still in business. They’ve probably bought state of the art winding machines by now

In the 60's at the Macleods hardware store all I cared about was dinky cars, Early 70's cap guns, pellet guns and 22 rounds.Mid to Late 70's were spent in record stores and music stores with Diaddario strings and maybe a bit of GHS. 80's was EB Slinkys and has stuck since!

I can't remember for sure.

I can't remember for sure. A few years ago we ventured into the US and stopped in Shelby Montana (Population-not a lot) We popped into a Drug store that was stocked with strings, picks, sheet music, harmonicas, etc...
